From 1 March 2026, Medicare has officially expanded the MBS M10 pathway to include: 

• Stuttering

• Speech Sound Disorders (articulation, phonology, apraxia, dysarthria)

• Cleft lip and/or palate

Children and young people under 25 may now access:

• Up to 8 Medicare‑rebated assessment sessions

• Up to 20 Medicare‑rebated therapy sessions

This is a major increase from the old 5‑session Chronic Disease Management plan.
