Telehealth Speech & Language Therapy for Everyone
Accessible, evidence‑based support for children and families in remote, rural and regional communities.
At Sea S.A.L.T. Speech Pathology, we believe every child deserves access to high‑quality communication support no matter where they live. Our Telehealth Speech & Language Therapy service brings our warm, play‑based, neurodiversity‑affirming approach directly to families across NSW, including remote and rural communities.
We support children and young people aged 0–18 through secure, engaging online sessions that feel just as connected, playful and effective as in‑person therapy.

TELE‑HEALTH PARENT FAQ
Will my child sit still?
They don’t need to. Sessions are built around movement, play, and short bursts of attention.
Is tele‑health as effective as in‑clinic therapy?
Yes. Research shows tele‑health is equally effective for most speech goals, especially when parents are involved.
What if my child is shy or nervous?
Many children feel more comfortable at home, which actually improves engagement.
Do I need special equipment?
Just a phone, tablet, or laptop with a camera. That’s it.
Do I need to be in the session?
For younger children, yes and this is a strength. You learn strategies that accelerate progress.
What if my child has a short attention span?
Tele‑health is perfect for this. Sessions use quick, engaging activities and movement‑based tasks.
Can we use Medicare (M10) or CCM plans?
Yes. Tele‑health is fully eligible for M10 rebates and Chronic Condition Management plans.
What if tele‑health doesn’t work for us?
Your first session is no‑risk. If it’s not the right fit, you won’t be charged.
WHY TELE‑HEALTH WORKS FOR CHILDREN
Kids feel safe at home
Children communicate more freely when they’re relaxed, in familiar surroundings, and not overwhelmed by a clinic environment.
Parents learn more and progress is faster
Tele‑health naturally includes parent coaching.
Parents learn strategies they can use every day, which accelerates progress far beyond a weekly clinic session.
Sessions are designed for movement and play
Tele‑health isn’t “sit and stare at a screen”. It’s:
games, movement, toys, household objects, short, engaging bursts
Research supports tele‑health
Studies show tele‑health is equally effective for:
speech sound disorders, stuttering, early language, parent‑led intervention, school‑aged articulation
Perfect for busy families
No travel. No parking. No rushing. No waiting rooms.
Just support that fits your life.
Flexible, fast access no waitlists
Families get help sooner, which is critical for early intervention.
Works beautifully for kids who don’t love clinics
Tele‑health is ideal for:
anxious children, neurodivergent children
kids who mask in public, children who thrive with routine

All therapy is evidence‑based, playful, and tailored to each child.
