Common questions

Do I need a referral?

Not for private sessions. You only need a referral to use Medicare funding (from a GP, paediatrician or specialist). For NDIS-funded therapy, the referral form helps us set up the plan details and invoicing.

How does the Medicare rebate work?

We charge our fee on the day and give you an invoice with the referral details, so you can claim your rebate from Medicare through the Medicare app, myGov or a service centre. Rebates cover part of the fee, so there will be a gap payment.

Which NDIS participants do you see?

We are not a registered NDIS provider, so we support plan-managed and self-managed participants, not NDIA-managed. Fees follow the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits, and we provide a service agreement covering our fees.

What ages and areas do you work with?

Children and young people aged 0–18, for speech, language, AAC, stuttering, social communication and feeding (feeding, eating, drinking and swallowing). We see children at our Woonona and Maroubra clinics, at home, school or day care, and by telehealth.

Questions about a referral?

We’re happy to talk it through.

Medicare information is based on the Medicare Benefits Schedule and GPCCMP arrangements in place from 1 July 2025. Rules can change, so check MBS Online for the latest requirements.
